Salary: £90 – £110+ per day (Depending on experience)

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?

GSL Education are seeking a committed 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to work closely with a pupil in Burton-on-Trent starting September 2025. This role is ideal for someone who can provide personalised support, ensuring the child can access learning and make progress in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities of the 1:1 SEND TA:

  • Provide individualised support to a pupil with SEND needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet the child’s needs.
  • Implement strategies from Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Promote independence, confidence, and social skills.
  • Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and parents to support the child’s development.

Requirements for the 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant role:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in a 1:1 setting.
  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting additional learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
