Salary Range: £155 - £220 per day (Depending on experience)

As a Teacher of English, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons, nurturing students' love for literature and language. You will inspire confidence in reading, writing, and communication, helping students develop essential skills for their future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in English, ensuring alignment with the national curriculum.
  • Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students.
  • Use innovative teaching methodologies to enhance learning and student engagement.
  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted support and feedback to enhance achievement.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that caters to diverse student needs.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and collaborate with colleagues on department initiatives.
  • Support students with coursework, exam preparation and career guidance related to English.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent.
  • A strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English.
  • The ability to engage and inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to high expectations.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
