Role Overview:

As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic and engaging lessons across Key Stages. You will help students explore a range of performance styles and develop their skills in acting, stagecraft, and collaboration.

Responsibilities as a Drama Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging drama lessons that spark creativity and build confidence.
  • Support students in developing acting, speaking, and performance skills.
  • Prepare pupils for practical assessments, school productions, and GCSE performances.
  • Encourage teamwork, expression, and participation in creative activities.
  • Maintain a well-managed, inclusive, and enthusiastic classroom environment.

Requirements for the Drama Teacher role:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Drama at school level is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A passion for the arts and working with young people.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
