Location: Slough

GSL Education is currently recruiting a number of Cover Managers for our client schools in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving school community and play a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of teaching and learning across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organising daily staff cover for planned and unplanned absences
  • Coordinating with internal staff and external supply agencies
  • Managing cover supervision timetables and maintaining up-to-date absence records
  • Liaising with senior leadership and department heads to ensure continuity of teaching
  • Supporting administrative tasks as required by the school office

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Previous experience in a cover management or school administrative role
  • Strong working knowledge of SIMS or equivalent MIS
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to last-minute changes effectively
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education)
