Salary: £180 – £220 per day ( Will be paid to scale)

About the School:

This special academy caters to up to 176 students aged 11-19 with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). Rated Outstanding by Ofsted recently and holding the National Autistic Society Advanced Accreditation, the academy provides a positive, inclusive environment where students with SEMH and ASC thrive academically and emotionally. Their tailored education and specialized support help students grow and build confidence.

As the successful Maths Teacher, your responsibilities will be:

To understand the academic abilities of all students and adapt lesson plans accordingly at Key Stage 3 and GCSE. A-Level teaching experience is desirable, but not essential
To ensure students’ active participation in lessons and encourage whole School participation, such as extracurricular activities
To use all available resources to deliver high quality and engaging lessons
Promote partnership working to increase and share best practices

As a successful Maths Teacher, you should:

Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS
Have a relevant maths-orientated degree at 2:2 or higher
Be able to provide two teaching references from within the last 2 years
Be up to date with the GCSE grading system
Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education
