GSL Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Motor Vehicle Assistant to join a specialist vocational provision in Slough immediately, supporting young people to develop practical motor vehicle skills and progress towards further education, training, or employment. This is a temp to perm opportunity, offering long-term prospects for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with learners in a workshop and classroom setting, providing hands-on support during practical motor vehicle sessions while reinforcing theoretical concepts.
- Help students develop employability skills, confidence, and positive attitudes towards learning and the world of work.
Qualifications
- Motor vehicle or engineering background; a passion for working with young people is essential.
- Previous experience in automotive workshops, vocational training, education, youth work, or learner support is highly desirable.
- Patience, approachability, and the ability to act as a positive role model; support learners with varying needs, including those who may require additional guidance or encouragement.
