GSL Education is currently seeking a number of dedicated and skilled Computing Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to join our client schools in Slough. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the learning and development of students.

As a Computing HLTA, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supervising classroom activities under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Supporting small group and individual instruction to meet the needs of students.
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons and resources.
  • Providing feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Covering classes in the absence of the teacher when required.

Candidate Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Previous experience as an HLTA or a strong teaching assistant with the desire to progress.
  • Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • A good understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching methods.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute to the overall success of the school.
  • Dedication to supporting the academic and personal development of students.

You must be in possession of an enhanced child only DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
