GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are recruiting a Primary School Teacher to join supportive primary schools in Wakefield (WF6). We are looking for a committed and adaptable teacher who can deliver engaging lessons, manage the classroom effectively, and support pupils in developing strong foundations for learning. The Primary School Teacher will have the opportunity to encourage curiosity, build positive classroom routines, and help pupils progress academically and personally.
Responsibilities of Primary School Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support development
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different learners
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents where required
- Promote pupils’ confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning
Requirements for Primary School Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Previous experience teaching in primary school settings is advantageous
- Strong classroom management and lesson delivery skills are required
- Ability to plan creative and purposeful learning activities is desirable
- A patient, flexible, and professional approach to teaching is essential
