About the Role
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Sports Coach to support pupils across a range of physical education and enrichment activities. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sport and youth development, looking to make a meaningful impact on pupils' physical health, teamwork skills, and overall engagement in school. Opportunities are available on both short-term and long-term bases, with flexible part-time and full-time options.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging sports and physical activity sessions across different age groups
- Support PE lessons alongside teaching staff
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and active participation
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of pupils, including those with SEN
- Assist with lunchtime and after-school clubs where required
- Encourage positive behaviour and inclusion through sport
- Support pupils' well-being and confidence-building
- Provide personal care support where required, in line with school policies
Qualifications
- Experience coaching or supporting sports activities with children or young people
- Knowledge of a range of sports and physical activities
- Ability to engage and motivate pupils of varying abilities
- Understanding of SEN needs is advantageous
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Relevant coaching or sports qualifications (desirable but not essential)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
