Pay Rate: £90 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our Independent School in Exeter, which caters for children with Social Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), and behavioural challenges. This role will involve working closely with students across KS1 – KS4, supporting their individual learning needs and helping them thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and group support to students with additional needs, ensuring they are fully engaged in lessons.
Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans, adapting activities to meet the emotional and behavioural needs of each child.
Build strong, positive relationships with students, helping them feel supported and understood.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a holistic learning environment.
Manage challenging behaviour with confidence, patience, and a calm approach.
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEND, specifically Autism Spectrum Conditions and behavioural difficulties.
Confidence in supporting students from KS1 – KS4.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to working with children.
