Job Title: Construction Tutor
Location: PRU, Nottingham
Salary: GBP130-GBP190 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

GSL Education are seeking to appoint a Construction Tutor for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact by sharing their expertise in a supportive and inclusive educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and practical lessons in construction and building trades.
• Support students with special education needs.
• Teach both theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills aligned with vocational standards.
• Ensure a safe and well-maintained workshop environment for student learning.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Work collaboratively with staff to develop resources and promote career pathways in construction.

Requirements

• A recognised teaching qualification or substantial industry experience in construction.
• Strong knowledge of building techniques, site safety, and vocational standards.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
• A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring students in alternative education settings.
• An up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
