A supportive secondary school in Middlesbrough is seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are looking to gain valuable classroom experience within a secondary school environment.
The successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher. As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classroom behaviour, ensure pupils remain engaged with their work and maintain a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor:- Supervising classes and delivering pre-set work.
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Ensuring pupils remain on task and complete their work.
- Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons covered.
- Supporting pupils with questions related to the set work.
- Promoting a safe and positive learning environment.
- Have previous experience working with young people or within a school setting.
