Salary: £165 – £265 per day

Are you an inspiring and experienced Social Science and Health & Social Care Teacher looking for a new opportunity in East London?

GSL Education London Branch is looking for a passionate and skilled Social Science and Health & Social Care Teacher to join a thriving comprehensive girls\’ secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This is a part-time, term-time role (Monday to Thursday) starting in September 2025, ideal for someone who wants to make a real difference in students\’ lives.

We are searching for a dedicated Social Science and Health & Social Care Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive and dynamic department, working with enthusiastic students who are keen to learn.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Social Science and Health & Social Care.

  • Plan, prepare and assess student work according to the curriculum.

  • Create a positive and safe learning environment.

  • Encourage student engagement, progression and academic success.

  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and leadership teams.

  • Support the personal and social development of students.

  • Keep accurate records of student progress and achievement.

Requirements:

  • Must be a qualified Social Science and Health & Social Care Teacher (QTS or QTLS preferred).

  • Previous experience teaching in a UK secondary school.

  • Strong subject knowledge in both Social Science and Health & Social Care.

  • Ability to teach students of mixed abilities across Key Stages 4 and 5.

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • Committed to supporting the holistic development of young people.

  • Available to work part-time, Monday to Thursday, from September 2025.
