Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher looking to make a real difference? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Intervention Teacher to deliver targeted support in Maths and English at Functional Skills level to secondary-aged pupils in Surrey. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a specialist provision that supports young people with a range of needs including SEMH, ADHD, and ASC, who require tailored learning outside of mainstream education. You’ll be playing a key leadership role in creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver functional Maths and English lessons that are accessible and engaging.
- Provide 1:1 and small group intervention for students with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants to support individual learning needs.
- Create a safe and supportive environment to foster student confidence and academic development.
- Adapt lessons to suit varying needs, using innovative teaching strategies.
- Maintain consistent communication with parents and other stakeholders.
