Art Technician Location: Bromley Salary: £90-£120 per day (Depending on Experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Full-time/Temporary Are you passionate about supporting the arts and ensuring that students have access to high-quality resources for their creative development? GSL Education are looking for dedicated Art Technicians to assist in providing technical support to art departments in ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ secondary schools in Bromley. Whether you are an experienced Art Technician, a graduate with an interest in education, or someone with a strong background in art and design, this role offers an exciting opportunity to support the creative learning of students. About the Role: As an Art Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth running of the art department. Your duties will include preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and assisting students during their practical sessions. You will help create an environment where students are free to express themselves creatively while ensuring that all safety and organisation standards are met. Art Technician Involves: Preparing and setting up materials and equipment for art lessons. Supporting the art department by maintaining and organising art supplies. Ensuring all equipment is in good working order and adhering to safety guidelines. Assisting students during practical art sessions and offering technical guidance. Helping with the display of students’ artwork within the school. Maintaining and cleaning art spaces and materials to meet safety and hygiene standards. Supporting teachers in ensuring that students are well-supported during their creative projects. Assisting with the production of teaching resources for the department. Collaborating with teachers to prepare for exhibitions and special events. Art Technician Requirements: Previous experience as an Art Technician or in a similar role. A background or qualification in Art and Design. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work effectively with both students and staff. A keen eye for detail and ability to maintain a clean and organised workspace. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
