Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant seeking a new position in a SEND School in Barking and Dagenham?
Responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers to provide tailored support and assistance to students with SEN.
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, helping them with their academic and social development.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
- Support students during classroom activities, ensuring they are fully engaged and able to participate to the best of their abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record the progress of students with SEN, and provide feedback to the teaching team.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
- Teaching Assistant & Childcare Level 1/2/3 qualifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the needs of all students.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
