GSL Education London Branch is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced History Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive coeducational secondary school in Hackney. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated History Teacher who can inspire students and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (KS3–KS5). This is an excellent chance for a committed History Teacher to make a real difference in a short-term role. If you are an enthusiastic History Teacher who enjoys working with young people and supporting their academic growth, this role is for you.
As a History Teacher, you will work closely with staff and students to create a positive learning environment. The school is seeking a reliable and motivated History Teacher who can start immediately and contribute to high-quality teaching.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging History lessons for KS3, KS4, and KS5 students
- Teach in line with the national curriculum
- Assess, mark, and provide clear feedback on students’ work
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Support students’ academic and personal development
- Work with other staff to support school goals
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Proven experience as a History Teacher teaching KS3–KS5
- Strong subject knowledge in History
- Good classroom management skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
