GSL Education are currently working in partnership with a well-resourced school that requires a Teaching Assistant to join their team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons, provide one-on-one support to students, and facilitate small group activities.
  • Individualized Learning: Work closely with students who require additional support, adapt teaching materials, and provide targeted interventions to ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Behaviour Management: Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promote respectful behaviour, and implement behaviour management strategies.
  • Assessments and Progress Monitoring: Support teachers in assessing student progress, provide feedback, and record student data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Extra-Curricular Involvement: Contribute to the wider school community by assisting in extracurricular activities, such as clubs, sports events, and school trips, fostering student engagement and personal development.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A degree in any subject area, demonstrating commitment to academic excellence. Holding a degree at 2:2 or higher is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • An enthusiastic and proactive approach, demonstrating passion for education and willingness to go above and beyond to support student learning.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, as you will be working across a variety of subjects and supporting different teaching styles.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive school environment.
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the update service.
