GSL Education London Branch are looking for an experienced Computer Science Teacher to work at a welcoming and supportive girls' secondary school in Lewisham. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Computer Science Teacher who is keen to inspire young learners and make a real impact. The successful Computer Science Teacher will join a committed team and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 5.
As a Computer Science Teacher, you will play a key role in developing students' digital skills, confidence, and understanding of computing concepts. This role is ideal for a motivated Computer Science Teacher who enjoys working in a positive school environment and has strong classroom management skills. If you are a dedicated Computer Science Teacher looking for a long-term role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons to KS3 - KS5 pupils.
- Teach topics such as programming, algorithms, data representation, and e-safety.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment for all learners.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.
- Work collaboratively with other staff and attend meetings when required.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience working as a Computer Science Teacher in a UK secondary school.
- Ideally, will have KS5 (A-Level) experience in Computer Science.
- Ability to motivate and engage female students in computing and digital learning.
- Good classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
