Pay Rate: £88.94 £114.84 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are currently seeking experienced and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Barton-upon-Humber. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students learning and development while making a positive impact on their educational journey.
As a SEN TA, you will provide tailored support to help students overcome barriers to learning, ensuring they can fully participate in classroom activities.
Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN, including those with physical, emotional, or learning difficulties.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
- Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet the needs of individual students.
- Help students develop social and emotional skills to engage successfully with their peers.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate.
- Support students with personal care, if necessary, following school guidelines and policies.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in an educational or care setting is desirable.
- A caring, patient, and flexible approach to supporting students.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- A full, up-to-date CV with clear employment history and explanations for any gaps within the last 10 years.
