GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join supportive schools in Scunthorpe. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to help pupils thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Role Overview: As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to provide targeted learning support, assist with lesson delivery, and help maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment. You will work with individuals and small groups to ensure every pupil can achieve their full potential. Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant: Support teaching and learning activities under the direction of the class teacher. Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to reinforce learning. Assist in preparing and organising classroom resources. Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons. Provide support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring an inclusive learning environment. Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to the teaching team. Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant: Experience working in a primary school setting is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A patient, supportive, and proactive approach to working with children. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
