GSL Education are currently recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Alford. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain focused and on task.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise whole classes across KS3 and KS4 using pre-prepared lesson materials
- Maintain good classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide clear instructions and ensure students complete assigned work
- Manage classroom routines and create a calm learning environment
- Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
- Uphold safeguarding and school procedures at all times
- Experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable)
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Confidence leading a classroom independently
- A calm, professional, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
