The predicted salary is between 18900 - 19950 ÂŁ per year.

Location: Birmingham

Pay rate: ÂŁ90-ÂŁ95 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Time: Hours 8.30 am – 3.30 pm – Monday to Friday.

Are you a patient and committed Behaviour Mentor looking for your next role? GSL Education are seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive client school in Birmingham. This role is well suited to someone who has supported young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour. The client school is known for its strong academic ethos and inclusive learning culture. It provides a well-structured curriculum, modern facilities and a collaborative working environment where staff feel valued and supported. The school promotes high expectations, positive behaviour and continuous professional development, helping every member of staff to grow and succeed.

Key Responsibilities of Behaviour Mentor:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group behaviour support.
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Implement behaviour plans and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and progress.
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support individual needs.
  • Promote emotional regulation, resilience and social skills.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and experience supporting SEMH needs.
  • Ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply through GSL Education.

To work with GSL Education, you must have:

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years with relevant experience.
  • Two professional references from the last two years.
