Are you an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) who can hit the ground running and provide immediate, effective support in the classroom? GSL Education are currently seeking a reliable and confident SEN TA to work in schools across Swanley, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Support teaching and learning in line with the curriculum and individual education plans
- Assist in managing behaviour and promoting positive engagement in lessons
- Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
- Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar SEN role
- Ability to hit the ground running in a new school environment
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A patient, proactive, and flexible approach
- A genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply with GSL Education
