Are you a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in Schools across Dover? GSL Education are seeking committed SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs in supportive and inclusive learning environments in Dover. As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional needs, helping them to engage with learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals within the classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.
- Assist students in accessing the curriculum and syllabus effectively.
- Support pupils in line with their Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional wellbeing.
- Support learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and wider support staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3, or a relevant qualification is desirable but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
