As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH, through engaging and structured activities.
- Using your activity instructor experience to promote positive behaviour, teamwork, and confidence.
- Assisting with personalised learning plans and sensory regulation strategies.
- Creating a safe, stimulating environment that encourages participation and emotional growth.
- Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to deliver holistic support in the classroom.
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Have a background as an Activity Instructor, Youth Worker, or similar role.
- Be confident working with children with additional and complex needs.
- Bring energy, creativity, and a calm, supportive approach to every day.
- Be adaptable, proactive, and able to follow guidance while using your initiative.
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service.
