GSL Education are seeking dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support teaching and learning across a range of classroom settings.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers, leading learning activities, and helping pupils reach their full academic and personal potential. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in supportive and welcoming School environments.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes.
- Support teachers with lesson preparation, delivery, and assessment.
- Cover classes during short-term teacher absence when required.
- Support pupils’ academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
- Assist with classroom management and promote positive behaviour.
- Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to meet pupils’ needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar role is desirable.
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A flexible, proactive, and professional approach.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
