Are you an experienced PMLD SEN Teaching Assistant who can hit the ground running and provide high-quality, hands-on support to pupils with complex needs? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated PMLD SEN TA to work in supportive school settings across Ashford, making an immediate and meaningful impact.
As a PMLD SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, helping them access learning through personalised approaches and specialist support.
What you have to do:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with PMLD
- Support learning through sensory-based activities and personalised programmes
- Assist pupils with physical needs, including personal care where required
- Promote communication using appropriate strategies and tools
- Support emotional regulation, engagement, and wellbeing
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
What we need:
- Proven experience working with pupils with PMLD or complex SEN needs
- Ability to fit in quickly and hit the ground running
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply with GSL Education
