Are you a creative and passionate Art & Photography teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a supportive school environment? GSL Education are delighted to be recruiting for an Art & Photography Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Medway. This is a maternity cover role starting in November 2025 and running through to October 2026, offering a fantastic opportunity to inspire students through visual arts and photography. You will guide students in developing their artistic skills and photographic techniques, helping them build strong portfolios and a deep appreciation for the visual arts.

Responsibilities of an Art & Photography Teacher:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Art and Photography in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire students to explore a range of artistic media and photographic styles.
- Support students in developing their technical skills and creative thinking.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback on student work.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects.
- Ensure the safety and proper use of art and photography equipment.
Requirements of Art & Photography Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Career Teacher (ECT), or equivalent overseas qualifications.
- Experience teaching Art and/or Photography at school level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for the arts and a commitment to student development.
- A current enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
