About the Role: As a Secondary or Through Teaching Assistant with GSL Education, you’ll play a vital role in supporting teachers and helping students thrive. Your days will be varied as you assist in fostering a positive learning environment, offering one-on-one and group support to help each child develop their skills and confidence. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team that’s focused on creating inclusive, engaging experiences for all students. About the School: We work with Secondary, SEN and Alternative Provision Schools across Hull, as well as PRU. However we currently have a number of openings at one of our partner schools in Hull, and East Riding of Yorkshire. This particular school aim is to create a listening school that ensures pupils feel secure, encouraged to communicate, and equipped with skills to stay safe, while fostering open relationships with parents, colleagues, and agencies, providing diverse learning opportunities, and preparing pupils for an autonomous adult life. Requirements: The ideal candidate for this role will: Have recent experience working with children aged 10-18, ideally within a school, specialist provision, or childcare setting Understand how young adults learn and grow, and be excited to help them on their educational journey Be comfortable working as part of a dedicated team, bringing a positive, can-do attitude every day Share our commitment to inclusivity and helping every child succeed Teaching Assistant Requirements: Must have the Right to Work in the UK A minimum of six months of experience working in an educational or child-focused setting (including volunteering and placements) Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education Please note that safeguarding and child protection are essential aspects of this role.
