GSL Education are seeking a dynamic, dedicated and qualified Science Teacher to work in client secondary schools in York, North Yorkshire. This opportunity is ideal for experienced teachers looking for a new challenge, or Early Career Teachers seeking their first position after completing their teacher training.
Science Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons to Key Stage 3 and GCSE students.
- A-Level teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
- Differentiating lessons to support diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for science through interactive and engaging teaching methods.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the school’s Science curriculum.
Science Teacher Minimum Requirements:
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE in Secondary Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics), or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching all 3 Sciences at GCSE level, with recent classroom experience.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- A valid, enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or the willingness to apply for one with GSL Education.
