Salary: £88 - £110 per day

GSL Education is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join a Special Needs School in Scarborough. You will be part of a team supporting children and young people with additional learning needs. This is a full-time role, offering the opportunity to make a real difference in pupils' educational and personal development.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide one-to-one and small group support, helping learners access the curriculum and achieve their potential. You will assist with classroom management, deliver interventions, and support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Level 2 or above Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with children, ideally with SEMH, ASC, or additional learning needs
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
