PE Teacher Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire Start Date: January 2025 Salary: £125 – £160 per day GSL Education’s North Yorkshire branch is looking to appoint an ambitious, energetic, and passionate PE Teacher to work on a supply basis at a Client Secondary School located in Scarborough, North Yorkshire for a January 2025 start. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a variety of school settings and are committed to inspiring students to lead active and healthy lifestyles. About the School: The school provides a comprehensive education that maintains a balance between academic success and individual growth. The dedicated faculty consists of highly qualified and passionate teachers who are committed to delivering an outstanding education to the students. They have a strong SEND program managed by a committed group of experts, including specialised teaching assistants and a SENDCo. According to Ofsted, their leadership team maintains the good quality of education. They believe in the importance of open communication and collaboration between the school, students, and families, working together to support the educational journey of each student. They are completely committed to making sure that reliable, efficient safeguarding practices are in place to assist families, children, and school employees. PE Teacher Responsibilities: Deliver PE lessons to secondary students with diverse range of abilities. Working with young students to enhance their teamwork and social skills. Track students’ progress, ensuring lessons are accessible and inclusive for all. Demonstrating proper techniques and providing clear instructions. Maintaining a safe environment during physical activities. Ensure highest standards of safeguarding and health and safety during lessons. PE Teacher Requirements: Have experience planning and delivering GCSE and BTEC PE. Specialism or significant experience in teaching PE. Have knowledge and understanding of differentiating lessons for students with additional needs. Be able to provide a 10-year career history with relevant reference details, including 2 most recent employers. Hold a Child only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
