GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and committed Early Career Teachers across various subjects to join schools in Hull from September 2025. About the Role:
As an ECT, you will teach your specialist subject or phase while building confidence in classroom management, differentiation, and curriculum delivery. You ll work closely with experienced staff and benefit from the support of senior leaders and mentors who are invested in your professional development and early success.
Key Responsibilities of an Early Career Teacher:
- Deliver high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students
- Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with national curriculum guidelines
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively using consistent strategies
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support colleagues
- Participate in CPD opportunities and receive tailored mentoring support
- Track and report on student progress, offering targeted support where needed
- Foster a love of learning and promote academic success
What we need from an ECT:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending award in Summer 2025
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Willingness to learn, reflect, and develop through CPD
- Ability to adapt to different school settings and student needs
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one
