Are you a compassionate and patient professional with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? Do you have experience working 1:1 with pupils with EHCPs? If so, GSL Education are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant (SEN LSA) to join a welcoming school in Hull. In this rewarding role, you will provide personalised support to a child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), assisting with both academic learning and social development. This position is perfect for someone with a calm, caring approach and a strong understanding of SEN needs.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help the pupil access the curriculum, develop confidence, and make progress in a supportive and structured learning environment.
One-to-one SEN TA Responsibilities:- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with an EHCP.
- Assist with both academic and social aspects of learning.
- Adapt resources and teaching methods to meet the pupil’s specific needs.
- Support emotional regulation and encourage positive behaviour.
- Promote independence and social interaction during lessons and play.
- Implement strategies and activities outlined in the EHCP.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
