Supply Teacher Mainstream Primary Schools Dorset

Are you a passionate and adaptable teacher ready to inspire young learners across a variety of primary school settings?

GSL Education are seeking dedicated Supply Teachers to work in mainstream primary schools across Dorset starting in September 2025. We welcome applications from both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators, with opportunities for long-term and permanent roles.

In this role, you will bring engaging and effective teaching to different classrooms, adapting quickly to new environments and building positive relationships with pupils and staff. Your contribution will ensure continuity of learning and help pupils achieve their best.

Your Responsibilities as a Supply Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across a range of year groups
  • Adapt quickly to different school environments and class needs
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Support the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

Requirements for a Supply Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills and adaptability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for education and inspiring pupils
  • Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
