Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant Primary School Poole

Start Date: September 2025

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and making a meaningful impact in their learning journey?

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Poole area. This full-time role involves providing 1:1 support to a pupil in Year 3 with Autism, starting in September 2025.

Whether you ve worked in education before or supported children in other settings such as a nursery, care environment, youth work, or coaching we d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Provide 1:1 tailored support to a pupil with Autism, helping them engage with the curriculum and flourish in the classroom.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons.
  • Create a nurturing and structured learning environment.
  • Collaborate with school staff and SEN professionals to meet the pupil s individual needs.
  • Participate in school activities, training, and meetings as required.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Experience working with children in any capacity.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
