GSL Education is currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor/HLTA to work on a part-time, supply-only basis in primary schools across Portsmouth. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the variety and flexibility of supply work while making a meaningful impact in the classroom.
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor or HLTA on supply, you’ll step into the classroom to deliver pre-planned lessons and maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher. You’ll be working with a range of age groups (ages 4–11), supporting students’ learning and managing behaviour effectively.
This role is ideal for experienced HLTA professionals, Cover Supervisors, or teaching assistants looking to take the next step, as well as qualified educators seeking more flexible work.
What We’re Looking For:
Someone with experience working in schools or educational settings.
A confident, adaptable individual comfortable leading a class.
A relevant HLTA qualification or previous cover supervision experience (desirable).
Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
A flexible and professional attitude to supply work.
