GSL Education are proud to be working exclusively with a school in Winchester who are seeking a Full-time Support assistant to start ASAP. The school caters for Primary aged pupils with severe, profound and complex learning needs. Some pupils also have additional sensory, physical, medical, social or emotional needs.
Responsibilities:
- You will be required to support pupils across the Primary Key Stages, who follow a foundation curriculum due to the level of their needs.
- Support Phonics, Literacy and Numeracy.
- Support in creative Art and play lessons.
- Engage in fun and creative play with Play-Doh and painting as part of lesson activities.
Environment and requirements:
The school has outstanding facilities including sensory-based rooms, hydro pool and an outdoor play park. Candidates with little experience are welcome, but you must be energetic, positive and confident to excel in this environment. Ongoing training is available from the school, and there is a great career pathway.
