Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs in a nurturing primary school environment? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Halstead is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their team this September. This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support within the classroom
  • Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development
  • Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to support learning and behaviour
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
