As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing targeted support to students with SEN, contributing to their academic and social development.
Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant
Location: Witham
Salary Scale: £90 - £130
Contract Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teachers and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Adapt learning materials to suit the individual needs and abilities of students.
- Assist with the implementation of behaviour management plans.
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting a sense of inclusion and belonging.
- Collaborate with the wider school team to create an inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an SEN Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Understanding of various SEN conditions and strategies to support individual needs or willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with SEN.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity within the school community.
