The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing classes of students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring that the students remain on task and focused while following pre-prepared lesson plans. You will play an important role in maintaining classroom discipline and supporting students' learning needs, ensuring they are engaged in their studies in a productive and positive manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage students during lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Ensure that students follow instructions and engage with the lesson material.
- Maintain classroom discipline and manage behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Provide support to students with additional learning needs.
- Report any issues or concerns regarding students' behaviour or progress to the relevant teaching staff.
- Assist with administrative duties such as taking registers and assisting with resources.
- Inspire the students to reach their full potential.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children or young people ideally in an educational or supportive environment.
