Supply Chain Study Lead

We are looking for a Supply Chain Study Lead to join our team on a permanent basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the end-to-end supply chain for global clinical studies. You will ensure investigational medicines are delivered on time to patients while meeting study milestones. Collaboration is key, as you’ll work with cross-functional teams to create and execute supply plans that are patient-focused, risk-adjusted, and cost-effective. Our approach to R&D

In this role you will:

• Develop and maintain detailed demand and supply plans for clinical studies.
• Collaborate with clinical study teams to ensure supply options and risks are explored and agreed upon.
• Monitor inventory levels, expiry dates, and coordinate replenishment or destruction strategies.
• Ensure label content is defined and liaise with teams on pack design and component suitability.
• Oversee the setup and management of Randomisation and Trial Management Systems (RTSM) systems.
• Identify and resolve supply chain issues, ensuring timely delivery of medicines to patients.

Why you?

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• Experience in interpreting clinical trial study designs and their implications for supply chain in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Experience establishing investigational product supply and distribution strategy including inventory management for the lifecycle of global clinical trials.
• Working knowledge of supply chain and planning principles.
• Demonstrated understanding of the drug development process.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs) and the Trial Master File.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• APICS or CILT certification.
• Lean Sigma or Project Management training/experience.
• Experience with Randomisation and Trial Management Systems (RTSM) for supply management and patient randomization.
• Ability to learn and adopt technical skills for supply and planning systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex projects.
• Ability to adapt to aggressive and changing timelines, handle situations with limited information.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of investigational product packaging and labelling challenges.
