At GSK’s Barnard Castle site, we are looking to recruit a supply chain and distribution professional to join our Supply-Chain and Logistics team. GSK Barnard Castle is a key secondary manufacturing site and has invested heavily in industry 4.0 state of the art, bespoke equipment to support sustained new product introductions and volume increases, and as a key supplier of some of GSK’s blockbuster products, the site contributes revenues of ~$2Bn annually.
Job Purpose
The Sales and Distribution Expert supports the wider Supply Chain with the execution of the site supply plans, through management and execution of the critical distribution processes including delivery creation, despatch scheduling and invoice exception management. In delivering the role, the successful applicant will manage alignment of priorities, determining solutions and optimising schedules, to achieve the supply requirements and the execution of sales and distribution processes for commercial manufacturing and new product launches. You will interface with on and off-site stakeholder groups on distribution requirements, as well as work closely with external Logistics Service Providers (LSP’s). You will also be responsible for execution of processes such as Distribution Risk Assessment (DRA) management and Sanctions & Export control and may provide support or manage projects involving Sales and Distribution (which could be site or centrally driven).
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership and management of S&D (Sales & Distribution) Master Data Management
- Management of 0-2 weeks Order Book
- Managing Site Invoicing activity
- Distribution Risk Assessment (DRA)
- Sanction Market Management
- Management of Product Returns to site
- Supply of Registration Samples, Unlicensed Supply Requests, One-Off Supply
- Project management / Continuous Improvement / Change Management / Compliance
About You
This role is suited to a motivated person with good influencing, communication, and teamworking skills. The successful candidate will have knowledge / experience of supply-chain and logistics (eg; planning and scheduling) with demonstrable time-management and prioritisation skills.
Basic Qualifications / Skills:
- Relevant supply-chain / logistics experience (eg; good working knowledge of supply chain / logistics / distribution processes, including planning and scheduling)
- Experience working in a Pharmaceutical or highly regulated industry (including Manufacturing Environments)
- Technical and operational knowledge of supply-chain / logistics tools (eg; SAP and Distribution-modules)
