At GSK, we have bold ambitions for patients, aiming to positively impact the health of 2.5 billion people by the end of the decade. Our R&D focuses on discovering and delivering vaccines and medicines, combining our understanding of the immune system with cutting-edge technology to transform people’s lives.
Our mission in Development and CMO Digital & Technology is to disrupt and transform the way GSK thinks about, generates, and submits evidence — radically accelerating the delivery of medicines and vaccines for our patients and participants. We act as a strategic thought partner to the Development Operations and CMO organizations, bringing diverse stakeholders together to connect siloed processes through innovative, integrated technology.
As Product Owner, Development Operations and DevCMO Performance, you are a delivery-focused product leader who turns strategic priorities into high-impact digital products. You will sit at the operational heart of Development, owning the end-to-end delivery of tooling that empowers Development Operations and DevCMO teams with actionable insight — enabling faster, more predictable development outcomes aligned to EAGLE and our broader acceleration objectives.
We value clear communicators who lead with empathy, act with integrity, and stay relentlessly focused on impact for patients and science. This role offers growth, visible impact, and the chance to help unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.
You will focus on delivering across two core capability areas:
- Operational Performance Measurement — tools that enable consistent, standardized measurement across Development Operations and DevCMO, so teams can track key metrics, surface bottlenecks, and improve execution.
- Operational Intelligence & Decision Support — products that move beyond static dashboards toward actionable insight, proactively flagging risks, delays and inefficiencies to support informed, data-driven decisions.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Own the product backlog for performance and operational intelligence tools, translating business priorities into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Drive agile delivery that is predictable, high-quality and fast — improving sprint reliability and reducing cycle time.
- Deliver trusted performance tooling that provides standardized metrics and proactively identifies execution risks and delays, driving measurable gains in Development Operations and DevCMO KPIs.
- Partner across the business as the primary interface between stakeholders and technology teams, working with Development Operations, DevCMO and study teams to define requirements and earn strong, value-driven adoption.
- Set the data standard by defining and refining KPIs, data models and reporting standards so products deliver decision-grade insight — shifting teams from retrospective reporting to forward-looking intelligence.
- Continuously improve using product analytics and user feedback to simplify workflows, reduce manual effort, and retire shadow tools and workarounds.
Basic Qualifications
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in product ownership, business analysis, or digital delivery, including working in agile development environments.
- Exposure to analytics, data products, agentic AI, or reporting tools.
- Experience within life sciences, clinical development, or regulated environments.
- Execution and delivery focus — a strong ability to translate strategy into execution, delivering tangible outcomes with pace and quality.
- Stakeholder management — proven success collaborating across business and technology teams to align priorities and deliver value.
- Data-driven mindset — fluency with performance metrics, KPIs and analytics, and the ability to translate data into actionable improvements.
- User-centric product thinking — a focus on intuitive, high-impact solutions that drive adoption and satisfaction.
- Problem solving and adaptability — comfort navigating ambiguity and breaking complex challenges into practical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Experience in Clinical Operations or pharma R&D performance management.
- Familiarity with study execution, portfolio planning, or resource management processes.
- Experience with dashboards, BI tools, or analytics platforms.
