Hybrid Working: Field based position with 2-3 expected days in office per month.
We are a specialist pharmaceutical company 100% dedicated to developing medicines to treat and prevent HIV. Our ambition is to end the HIV epidemic.
As the Partnership Access Manager, you will report to the ViiV Healthcare UK National Business Director and play a pivotal role in implementing ViiV’s partnership offerings to relevant healthcare professionals with budgetary responsibilities for decisions in a healthcare organisation. You will work closely with the Partnership Manager in the Market Access team and the Pathways and Patient Affairs Manager in the Medical team to ensure those who need long-acting injectable HIV treatment or prevention are able to access across the UK.
You will liaise with relevant budgetary decision makers and healthcare professionals to partner with agencies required to support implementation of long-acting injectables.
In this role you will:
- Partnership Development & Execution: Lead the implementation of existing partnership solutions that address system barriers and improve patient access. Coordinate cross-functional delivery of partnership projects including package deals and collaborative working as needed across the country. Oversee the launch, refinement, and lifecycle management of partnership offerings in each clinic as required by budget holders in the NHS. Work with Key Account Managers to identify appropriate clinics for partnership offerings.
- Service Redesign & Pathway Enablement: Work closely with the Medical Pathways Manager and Nurse Advisors to support service redesign that enable long-acting treatment and prevention pathways.
- Cross Functional Leadership: Act as the central operational lead for partnership implementation, ensuring alignment with the strategy set by the head-office Market Access team. Field-facing role in partnership with key account managers on which partnership offerings are appropriate. Support coherent “end-to-end” implementation: from implementation through maintenance and refinement.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with service managers, pharmacy teams, and operational stakeholders to enable sustainable access models. Engage with external partners involved in partnership delivery (e.g., third party service providers, nurse delivery services, telehealth vendors).
- Compliance, Governance & Transparency: Ensure all partnership activities are executed in full alignment with ABPI Code, internal compliance requirements, and governance frameworks—including clear separation of promotional vs non-promotional activities as outlined in access briefing materials. Maintain accurate documentation, briefing materials, and internal updates, internally and with third party providers.
- Insight Generation & Continuous Improvement: Gather operational insights from partnership implementations to inform strategic market access planning. Monitor outcomes, identify gaps, and optimise partnership solutions to maximise system value. Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Medical, and Market Access teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Experience in Market Access, Service Redesign, Partnerships, or Field Based NHS Collaboration.
- Strong understanding of NHS operational models including commissioning, clinic capacity dynamics, and patient pathway constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross functional projects and external partnerships.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Experience with PSPs, nurse services, or service redesign interventions.
- Background working with Key Account Managers, Access roles, or pathway implementation teams.
- Ability to translate system needs into workable partnership solutions.
- Experience working in the NHS to understand patient pathways and routes for efficiencies.
