You will play a key role within the Clinical Unit Cambridge, supporting the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) manufacturing services. Working across manufacturing operations and quality management activities, you will independently perform complex technical tasks, contribute to study delivery, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialist expertise, lead investigations and quality improvements, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to advance clinical research and patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently perform GMP manufacturing, preparation and operational activities in accordance with approved procedures and study requirements.
- Support clinical study activities throughout the study lifecycle, including setup, maintenance and close-down activities.
- Ensure manufacturing and study documentation is completed accurately, compliantly, and within required timelines.
- Lead deviations, investigations and root cause analyses, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
- Contribute to change controls, risk assessments, compliance monitoring and quality improvement activities.
- Author, review and maintain GMP documentation, including SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure), templates, forms and study records.
- Support environmental monitoring, equipment maintenance, calibration, and facility-related activities.
- Deliver training, coaching and competency support to colleagues and new starters.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance across manufacturing and quality-related activities.
Basic qualifications:
- Experience working within a GMP-regulated environment.
- Experience applying GMP principles and meeting GMP documentation requirements in a regulated environment.
- Experience performing manufacturing, operational, and quality management activities independently.
- Experience in investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA management.
- Experience in reviewing, authoring, and maintaining GMP documentation.
Work Arrangements
Primary Location: Addenbrookes. This role offers an on-site (5 days in a week) working model; Remote or fully home-working arrangements are not available for this role.
