The Regional Security Manager – Europe is a senior security leader responsible for implementing and continuously improving Haleon’s regional physical security framework across Europe. This role ensures the protection of people, assets, and operations across all sites and throughout the extended supply chain. The role drives regional security risk mitigation while leading a high-performing, regionally dispersed team of contracted security and non-specialist security champions and reports directly to the Head of Security Operations.
The role also supports investigations, anti-counterfeit efforts, external partnerships, third-party contract management, and the development of Haleon’s Physical Security Policy and standards. A critical aspect of the role is building trusted relationships with senior leaders across the enterprise and providing clear, confident, and actionable security risk advice.
Strategic Responsibilities- Lead the regional 2nd line physical security delivery across Haleon’s manufacturing, R&D, commercial, and corporate environments.
- Integrate physical security risk management into end-to-end supply chain operations, including transport, warehousing, third-party logistics, and critical supplier sites.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Quality teams to assess vulnerabilities and implement proactive controls that protect continuity, integrity, and brand reputation.
- Monitor regional-geopolitical, criminal, and environmental threats that may impact operations or supply resilience and develop mitigation strategies accordingly.
- Lead the implementation of Haleon’s Physical Security Policy and associated regional standards.
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and enterprise risk frameworks.
- Establish mechanisms for policy compliance, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement across all sites and functions.
- Provide strategic oversight of audits, assessments, and assurance activities to validate policy effectiveness.
- Manage the regional portfolio of third-party security contracts, which includes both manned guarding and technical security services, as well as maintaining the senior relationship with the manned guarding account director.
- Ensure service quality, compliance, and alignment with Haleon’s operational and strategic needs.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen in contract negotiation, performance management, and cost optimization.
- Own the regional physical security budget, ensuring effective forecasting, spend control, and value delivery.
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, fostering innovation, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
- Direct and develop a geographically distributed team of Regional Security Champions and regional security professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across remote and cross-functional teams.
- Implement structured development programs, mentoring, and succession planning to build future leadership capability.
- Establish and support a regional network of non-SME security champions embedded across business units and functions.
- Equip champions with tools, training, and messaging to drive awareness, behavioural change, and local ownership of security.
- Partner with HR, L&D, and Communications to deliver fit-for-purpose training and engagement campaigns.
- Measure cultural maturity and champion effectiveness to inform strategy and investment.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with law enforcement agencies, industry bodies, regulatory authorities, and peer organisations.
- Represent Haleon in relevant regional forums and working groups to share intelligence, benchmark practices, and influence standards.
- Leverage external partnerships to enhance threat awareness, investigative support, and coordinated response capabilities.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior leaders across the region.
- Provide clear, confident, and timely security risk briefings—both written and verbal—to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure leadership confidence in the security function through proactive engagement, transparency, and strategic alignment.
- Translate complex risk scenarios into actionable business advice that supports resilience and operational continuity.
- Support emergency planning, crisis response coordination across sites and supply chain nodes in line with Haleon EHS and resilience standards.
- Contribute to crisis management, business continuity and recovery frameworks, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk and operational priorities.
- Champion the adoption of advanced security technologies including AI-enabled surveillance, biometric access, and integrated command platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and OT teams to ensure convergence of physical and digital security systems.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats and innovations to future-proof the security function and enhance operational agility.
- Deliver effective collaboration with ACF and Investigation teams to support their activities in accordance with established frameworks and with proper oversight.
- Foster and strengthen regional partnerships to establish trusted and efficient collaboration with law enforcement, customs authorities, and external investigative firms across Haleon's regional operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regional and local regulatory security standards and requirements.
- Deliver 2nd line security audits, external inspections, and third-party assessments to maintain assurance and readiness.
- Maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to monitor performance and drive accountability.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership in regional physical security, ideally within manufacturing, supply chain or FMCG sectors.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-site operations and supply chain security in regulated environments.
- Experience in investigations, anti-counterfeit, crisis management, policy development, and external stakeholder engagement desirable.
- Demonstrated success in managing third-party security contracts and budgets with strong commercial acumen.
- Degree in Security, Risk, Business, or related field preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, or CEM strongly preferred.
