Responsibilities

  • In partnership with Global Real-World Evidence & Health Outcomes (GRWE&HO), Epidemiology (EPI), Patient Centered Outcomes (PCO), Real-world Data & Analytics (RWD&A) scientists and the NIS P&D Study Delivery Leads, developing and proactively delivering aligned, high quality NIS Project Plans across assigned asset projects.
  • Maintaining an accurate integrated plan schedule in Planisware with accurate data and interpreting it to draw conclusions and recommendations.
  • Utilizing established NIS Project Plan schedules to drive cost (EPE) and resource (IPE) forecasts.
  • Improving and maintaining system data quality by assuring schedule compliance to established business rules, standards and ways of working.
  • Working with the NIS functional lines to ensure that the work packages within the NIS project plan in Planisware reflect the work being scheduled.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders on project teams including Pipeline and Medical Project Managers, Early Development Lead, Medicines Development Lead, Vaccines Development Lead, Global Medical Lead, Finance, etc. to ensure plan schedules alignment to intended strategy and advising of changes, constraints, and risks to the schedule.
  • Contributing to scenario planning through the development of alternative planning schedules and portfolio decision making.
  • Proactively designing scenarios & recommending alternatives to accountable NIS functional lines.
  • Supporting analyses of information to design/build status reports across key project control performance areas: scope and schedule with Reporting Team.
  • Identifying and managing risks in a risk register or plan schedule and translating these into NIS Project Plan schedule.
  • May act as Integrated Resource Management Subject Matter Expert within planning, cost (EPE) and resourcing (IPE).
  • Leading in the preparation of documents for stakeholder management e.g. OnePager Gantt reports, stakeholder maps, communication plans, development of slides for NIS functional leadership team members or Governance Discussions.
  • Demonstrating interpersonal skills and general management knowledge to the R&D and CPO business environment.
  • Maintaining awareness of project planning practices within GSK, the pharmaceutical industry and other industries.
  • Supports the technical and leadership development of NIS Planning & Delivery staff through mentoring and coaching and may also be responsible for line managing NIS P&D Project Managers and/or industrial placement students.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, science or finance.
  • Experience in Non-Interventional Studies (NIS), clinical operations or related pharmaceutical/drug development research with a minimum of 2 years experience in project management.
  • Industry R&D operational experience.
  • Proven experience leveraging Project Management software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Planisware).
  • Proven knowledge of project management methodology and tools.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must understand the complexities of navigating projects, data and processes in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Proven ability to define the best decision for the organization and not one function.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Advanced degree (e.g. MS, PhD, PharmD) or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Project Management (PMP) Certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and experience of Non-Interventional Studies (NIS).
  • Proven expertise in the proactive identification of issues which may impact clinical programmes coupled with the ability to contribute to solutions affecting cross-functional matrix teams.
  • Demonstrated experience leading in both matrix and line environment to deliver projects, develop clinical plans, and manage change.

Annual gross base salary range for new hires: EUR 83,250 to EUR 138,750.
