Please note this is a 12‑month Maternity Cover. We are looking for an experienced and strategic Meetings Centre of Excellence (CoE) Manager to lead the UK approach to Healthcare Professional Engagement (HCPE) through meetings and external engagements. External expert engagement has never been more important. This role plays a critical part in ensuring we design and deliver compliant, high‑quality, and customer‑centric engagement solutions, aligned to evolving HCP preferences and business priorities, in order to build advocacy and maximise impact.

The role reports directly into the UK Head of Performance, Strategy & Operations and requires close partnership with Commercial and Medical teams, as well as key enabling functions including Digital & Tech, Business Insights, Capabilities and Global/Regional stakeholders. In this role you will:

  • Lead the Meetings Centre of Excellence (CoE) team and deliver the overall strategy, ensuring alignment with PS&O vision, UK Commercial priorities, and enterprise objectives through strong cross‑functional and above‑country partnerships.
  • Drive the evolution of HCP/HCO meeting delivery by continuously improving how meetings are planned, delivered, and evaluated, with a focus on efficiency, consistency, scalability, and digitally enabled engagement.
  • Enhance Meetings CoE processes using insights, feedback, and performance data to simplify, optimise, and future‑proof ways of working, supporting more sustainable and effective engagement models.
  • Coordinate resources and ensure alignment across External Engagements, Materials, and Rebate processes, while overseeing third‑party partners, including risk management and collaboration with Procurement on contracting and negotiations.
  • Establish and lead cross‑functional networks to understand process utilisation, identify pain points, and drive improvements to the end‑to‑end experience.
  • Develop and maintain governance frameworks, including KPI setting and tracking, to drive transparency, performance, and ROI, while adopting a data‑driven, continuous improvement mindset to optimise customer and business outcomes.

  • Proven experience leading and developing high performing teams.
  • Strong track record of driving excellence in execution and moving complex initiatives forward.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority across Commercial, Medical and enabling functions.
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience using data and insight to inform decisions and drive improvement.
  • Robust knowledge of the ABPI Code and compliant working practices.
  • Demonstrable project and change management experience, ideally within complex or matrixed environments.
